Cancellation
Policies
GROUP TRIP LAND COST:
A cancellation penalty of only USD100 per person applies for any cancelled
group bookings, provided notification is received by our office at least
60 days prior to the group departure date. Cancellations made 30 days
prior to departure will result in a cancellation penalty of 25% of the
land cost. Cancellations made 15 days prior to departure will result in
a cancellation penalty of 50% of the land cost. Cancellations made 7 days
prior to departure will result in a cancellation penalty of 75% of the
land cost.If the cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to departure,
all amounts paid are non-refundable. Up to 60 days in advance of the scheduled
departure date of your group trip, you may transfer your deposits to another
of our trips without forfeiture of any funds paid.

INDIVIDUAL TRIP LAND COST:
Cancellations made up to 61 days before departure will result in forfeiture
of deposit. Cancellations made between 31 and 60 days prior to departure
will result in a cancellation penalty of 25% of the land cost. If the
cancellation is made within 30 days of departure, all amounts paid are
non-refundable.

AIRFARE COST:
Refunds for unused plane tickets are in accordance with the terms of the
respective carriers.
Straits Central Travel & Tour Agencies retains the
right to cancel any tour prior to departure. In such case, full refund
of land cost constitutes full settlement. We are not responsible for additional
expenses incurred by trip members in preparation for the trip (i.e., non-refundable
air tickets, visa fees, equipment, medical expenses, etc.) if their trip
is canceled or re-scheduled for ANY reason. We strongly advise against
the purchase of non-refundable air tickets.

CANCELLATION NOTE:
Unfortunately, we cannot vary from our stated cancellation policy regardless
of your situation. We recommend that you buy trip cancellation insurance
immediately upon booking your tour. Correspondence about trip cancellation
must be sent via certified mail.

TOUR CANCELLATION:
If cancellation should arise, client loses its deposit as mentioned above.
Hotels, carriers and other contractors apply cancellation fees and shall
be liable to pay those charges to Straits Central Travel & Tour Agencies
Sdn Bhd on behalf of the service providers.

HOTEL CANCELLATION:
Hotel cancellation made 7 days and less will be subject to one night hotel
charge. No show will be at 100% of the total invoice

AIR CANCELLATION:
Domestic air cancellation made 7 days and less will be 75% of the total
invoice.
No show will be at 100% of the total invoice

REFUND POLICY:
There shall be no refund after commencement of the service included in
the program but not utilized by the clients.

CLAIMS:
All disputes, claims and litigation regarding the services shall first
be settled by way of negotiation and mutual understanding. In the event
such effort would fail, the disputes, claim or litigation shall be finally
settled by arbitration of the relevant court of law in Malaysia. All claims
must be submitted in writing within 30 days after the end of the Services.
